Covid-19 FAQ's

When can I come to the bar?

We are re-opening on the 4th July at midday. There are some changes to our regular opening hours during this period and they are subject to change over the next few months. For the time being our new opening hours are: Monday and Tuesday - CLOSED Wednesday - 2pm to 8pm Thursday - 2pm to 10pm Friday - 2pm to 12am Saturday - 12pm to 12am Sunday - 12pm to 6pm

Are there any changes to the menu?

We will be operating our normal drinks menu and have a brand new summer menu for you with new cocktails, gins and local beer. These are all printed on disposible and recyclable paper so each menu is for single use only and you are free to take it home with you or we will recycle it. We will not be distributing our gin book until further notice, so if you would like a gin not on the menu, please ask a member of the team. We will not be doing food until further notice, but our full range of nibbles is available.

Do I need to book?

Booking is highly recommended for inside. We have a significantly reduced capacity inside so to guarantee a table we do recommend booking. You can book a table for any day that we are open here.

How long can I book for and for how many people?

Each table is bookable for 2 hours. Your server will let you know if anyone is booked on your table after you. If you wish to stay longer, we will try and accomodate you on a different table. However this cannot be guaranteed. The largest size table we have available to book is for 6 people. This must be made up of people from a maximum of 2 households as per the Government's restrictions.

Will you take my details for track and trace?

If you book a table with us, we will not ask you or any members of your party for additional contact information as this will be sufficient. If you join us without booking, we will need to take the contact details for at least one member of your party and this will include your full name, phone number and e-mail address.

Can I come if I don't book?

Of course. We will always try and accomodate you where possible if tables are available. We also have an outside seating area that is for walk-ins only so if tables are available outside upon arrival you can sit there. If you are early for your booking and tables are available outside, you are welcome to sit there and enjoy a drink whilst you wait for your table.

Do you have outside space?

Yes. We have a large seating area outside which is part of our premises. This means you will still receive full table service and access to our entire menu. Outside tables are not bookable and are given on a first come, first served basis. Outside tables are still limited to a maximum stay of 2 hours.

Is everything table service?

Yes! You will have a server who will take orders and deliver all drinks and nibbles to your table. We ask that you avoid moving around the venue if possible and adhere to social distancing between you, our staff and other guests.

How do I pay?

We are operating a cashless bar at this stage so payments can only be made via debit, credit card, Apple Pay or with vouchers. We ask that where possible you pay with a contactless card and the limit for this payment is £45. Your server will have their own card terminal for you to use and these will be sanitised between each transaction.

Do I have to wear a mask?

No, masks at are not compulsory at this stage. You are free to bring your own mask if you wish as these will not be provided. Our staff also have the option to wear masks.

What extra cleaning are you doing?

The health and safety of you and our staff is our number one priority. We have added a host of extra precauations to keep everyone safe: 1. Our staff will be wiping down all public surfaces more regularly than normal. This includes tables and chairs in between guests, doors, our staircase, contact points and the toilets. 2. There will be a number of hand sanitiser points throughout the bar and in the toilets. 3. We have more cleaning materials, clothes and disposable equipment to maintain the highest standards throughout service. 4. We have professional cleaners who come to the bar every morning to clean the whole premises.

What if I am sitting outside and it rains?

Unfortunately, due to capacity constraints around social distancing, if you are sitting outside, we may not be able to offer you a table inside if none are available. We do have a couple of umbrellas but we recommended ensuring you bring appropriate clothing and an umbrella of your own, or alternatively book a table for inside in advance. You can book a table here.

Do you have a separate entrance and exit?

Yes. Our main door will be an entrance only for all guests, sitting inside or outside. Your server will greet you and escort you to your table, ensuring you keep at least 1 metre from other guests. We will then have a separate exit door for guests with signage on walls and on the floor to guide you through the venue in a one way system.

Are you still offering delivery and click & collect?

Yes. If you would prefer to stay at home or can't come to the bar we can still bring the bar to you. Just head to www.leafyelephantdeliveries.com and you can view our delivery menu, delivery times and where we deliver to.
